Our history
The REFA methodology has proven itself in the European economy and can be viewed in the broadest sense as an alternative to the American MTM (Methods Time Measurement). For both approaches to working time analysis, a clear definition of the approach and its coordination with the higher management level is of fundamental importance.

This could also be applied to the design and implementation of a process-oriented management system in relation to the higher-level structures according to ISO 9001 and contribute significantly to increasing efficiency in an innovative organization in the MENA region.

Process description of the train-the-trainer concept powered by gets unimarconi germany:

1. Information event and selection of participants
The information event is intended to convey the content, process and schedule of REFA coach training. Participants with sufficient and appropriate industrial/educational competencies will be selected for inclusion in the project.
​
2. Implementation of the REFA basic training
Starting with a REFA basic training for 15 - 20 participants in order to form a first team of potential REFA trainers. The duration of this basic training is: 20 days.
​
3. Further training for trainers in adult education
This part of the training deals with general pedagogy in adult education. It includes learning and teaching fundamentals that apply to all types of lessons, regardless of the topic and curriculum.
The aim is to impart skills to the participants and train them in the areas of linguistics, adult education and pedagogical practice. Duration of this basic training is: 9 days.

4. Conducting training in teaching methodology
Knowledge of the teaching methodology enables the prospective trainer to put the REFA content into practice so that it can be taught and learned. The teaching methodology for certain REFA disciplines is discussed here. It serves to instruct prospective trainers in the curriculum of the respective REFA disciplines according to teaching methodology. Another important topic is the preparation and organizational implementation of REFA courses, the creation of exercises and the implementation of exams.
These include the following seminars:
4.1. Didactics seminar part 1, duration: 3 days
4.2. Didactics seminar part 2, duration: 3 days

5. Practical training
The aim of the internship is to provide prospective trainers with teaching experience - a step-by-step introduction to independent teaching under the guidance of experienced German trainers. The prospective trainers have the opportunity to give short lectures, take an active part in class discussions and gain initial experience in teaching and carrying out exercises. Duration of this basic training is: 5 days.
6. Practical project work in companies/production facilities
Under the constant guidance of a REFA expert, participants form groups that analyze current, clearly defined problems within work processes in MENA industrial companies. The prospective trainers have the task of developing possible solutions and presenting them to the company under the guidance of a REFA expert. This means that future REFA experts have the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have acquired to real customer projects and put it into practice.
Duration of monitoring is: 3 x 5 days = 15 days

7. Oral qualification for REFA lecturers
During a week-long seminar, participants experience a double event -

On the one hand, they receive their qualification as a REFA lecturer in an oral examination,
-
on the other hand, they experience the practical implementation of the REFA methodology by German industrial companies. Duration: 7 days

8. Implementation of supported REFA basic training
Finally, the new REFA trainers complete their first basic training under the guidance of experienced Swiss and German experts. This is the final step in practical training and ensures that the new trainers are able to deliver lessons at a high level.
